Peabody’s: Where Vibing Is A Pleasure

One of my favorite local, low-key places I would frequent in Tampa would definitely be Peabody’s.

Contributing Writer: Gary Inman, Jr. (@baysbest813)

Peabody’s has been my go-to for having a wild night and having “one too many,” or nights where me and some good friends would kick it after a wild week.

When you walk in, you’re always greeted at the door by one of their friendly staff members. You have your choice of bar seating, and regular, high-table seating; or, if you’re in constant competition mode like myself, you can satisfy that urge with a game of Billiards, Foosball, Darts, or Arcade Basketball.

I’ve shared many laughs, and many truths here. The highs and lows; the “no way”’s and the “you’re lying,”’s—The “Heavens & Hells.”

I shared a lot of my Tampa memories here, and a lot of them featured a $9 liquor pitcher.

Maybe two.

This was one of their popular deals on Thursday’s, and I took full advantage of that.

Oh, the food is bomb too. The wings, burgers, fries, flatbreads...the WINGS?! *Kevin Hart voice* Let me explain:

I mentioned earlier that I experienced the “Heavens and Hells” at Peabody’s. Well, that was actually an ode to their Heaven & Hell-flavored wings. You get the perfect blend of sweet and tangy, mixed with a dose of heat in each bite. Their wings have a generous crunch to them, which is something I appreciate, as I prefer my wings crispy.

I also really enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak Flatbread. It consists of melted American Cheese, Steak, and Avocado-Lime Ranch—It’s the perfect starter for the table while waiting for the rest of your food/drinks.

Peabody’s is a staple in the local Tampa community; and, for me, it still serves as the best place to pull up with the squad, and add to the memories that we’ll never forget.

Drake said it best: “Come Thru.” They are OPEN! Masks are mandatory inside, and there are social distance markers to ensure your safety/wellbeing during these cautious times.

What are you waiting for?!
